Responsibilities:
- Direct the design teams to deliver strategic outcomes and meet project KPIs across real estate developments.
- Manage client-facing design issues, ensuring strong relationships and responsive communication.
- Implement design management systems and protocols to meet legal, contractual, and statutory requirements.
- Guide daily activities of design resources, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, quality, and sustainability goals.
- Support long-term strategy development for the business unit, contributing to a sustainable future.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment that promotes well-being and professional growth.
- Leverage Mace’s centres of excellence and knowledge hub to apply best practice and drive innovation.
- Advocate for safety and compliance, applying local HSE regulations and Mace’s HSW framework across design activities.
Requirements:
- An architecture background and professional membership (e.g., RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT) or equivalent demonstrable development.
- Proven experience delivering complex real estate projects with strong consultancy and construction expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of building safety legislation, standards, contracts, appointments, and HSE regulations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and understanding of sustainability and carbon impacts on project delivery.
