We are seeking a Design Manager to lead our Visual Design practice, focusing on brand and site experiences. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for seasoned designers proficient in people management, project ownership, and strategic thinking.
Role Responsibilities:
- Apply and evolve existing design guidelines for consistency across touchpoints.
- Lead a range of projects including marketing campaign assets, data visualization, print, and UI design.
- Collaborate closely with design systems and sites teams to improve our digital experiences.
- Drive innovation, set strategic direction, ensure high-quality delivery, and support the professional growth of the visual design team.
- Review design work critically, provide constructive feedback, and contribute hands-on design work as needed.
- Improve operational workflows and production processes.
- Define and validate project outcomes with stakeholders.
- Evolve design systems to enhance quality and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For:
- A portfolio showcasing excellence in leading design processes, especially visually, in diverse organizations.
- Experience managing complex projects and design teams while also contributing to design work.
- Advanced knowledge of visual design principles including typography, layout, and color systems.
- Strong process understanding with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguity.
- A balanced, open-minded approach to critique and feedback with a focus on usability and accessibility.
- Commitment to mentorship and skills development.
- Passion for technology and a self-motivated, result-oriented approach.
- Exceptional educational background in design or a compelling alternative narrative.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events lasting up to two weeks.
