We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to be a part of our planning and design team in achieving innovative and high-quality project outcomes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in project development, ensuring design excellence, collaboration, and adherence to project objectives. We seek a suitably experienced design professional with strong management skills for an exciting opportunity to contribute to our projects within a professional and motivated team.
Key Accountabilities & Activities

Leadership and Team Management
- Working within a team comprising design professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide mentorship to nurture the skills and professional development of team members.

Project Initiation
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and leadership to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project briefs, considering planning and design parameters, constraints, and NEOM expectations.

Consultant Collaboration
- Provide guidance to appointed consultants ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and external consultants.

Design Oversight
- Review proposed planning and asset designs, offering design insight to ensure creativity, functionality, and adherence to project requirements.
- Ensure proposed designs comply with applicable NEOM procedures, codes, standards, and regulations.

Communication and Coordination
- Participate in progress and review meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.
- Liaise with appointed consultants and key stakeholders, addressing issues and coordinating resolutions in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to uphold design excellence and project objectives.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills Experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
- Understanding of CAD, BIM, and 3-D software.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in planning and asset design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects through planning and design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture.
