DevOps Engineer

About the Job:

The company is an independent French software vendor with over 20 years of expertise in data solutions. Our flagship product, Self Data Services (SDS), provides a sovereign and comprehensive data platform focusing on data governance, quality control, analysis, and business value.

We are seeking a full-time on-site DevOps Engineer based in Dubai, specializing in Multi-Cloud, Sovereign, and on-premises systems. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), managing system administration tasks, and ensuring high-quality software development and deployment.

Main Responsibilities:

1. On-Premises & Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Operations

   • Manage and optimize infrastructure across data centers, private cloud, and major public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).
   • Maintain secure hybrid connectivity and networking.
   • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.

2. CI/CD Pipeline Management

   • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or similar tools.
   • Ensure efficient and secure release processes across hybrid environments.

3. Infrastructure as Code & Automation

   • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or equivalent tools.
   • Automate provisioning and scaling of Kubernetes clusters.

4. Containerization & Orchestration

   • Manage and optimize Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments.
   • Implement best practices for container security and lifecycle management.

5. Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response

   • Deploy and maintain monitoring systems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
   • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis.

6. Collaboration & Documentation

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document infrastructure designs and operational processes.

Required Profile:

• Proven experience managing on-premises infrastructure and Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Strong expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Advanced skills in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Bash, Python).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Trivy, etc.).
• Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, and advanced Kubernetes automation.
