The DevOps Engineer is part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Your role will revolve around building functional systems, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. You will report directly to the CTO and be expected to work with our team of developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes. You will also help in planning projects and be closely involved in project management decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer AWS cloud infrastructures (servers, RDS, Lambda, SNS, communication, security, storage, DevOps).
- Manage infrastructure as code.
- Apply CD/CI principles on software projects on AWS.
- Implement best practices in automation to ensure security.
- Participate as a member of the Incident Report Team (IRT).
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of assets, including data, hardware, and software.
- Ensure regular data backups and encryption.
- Use security monitoring tools to detect and analyze incidents.
- Restore affected systems and services to normal operation.
- Preserve evidence for legal and forensic purposes.
- Establish infrastructure monitoring tools in the cloud.
- Prepare high-level infrastructure diagrams and document automation processes.
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.
- Delegate tasks and achieve set goals while considering expected and agreed time frames.
- Liaise with team members, management, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed and meet quality standards.
- Write progress reports and relevant material to update stakeholders.
- Work closely with our product and design team to better understand end-user requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement projects for AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience as a systems analyst.
- Proven experience in infrastructure as code - Terraform (required).
- Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD, bitbucket pipelines, Jenkins, and/or Maven.
- Knowledge of configuring AWS services (ECS, EC2, S3, AWS Transfer Family, Web Application Firewall, CloudFormation, CloudFront, API Gateway).
- Experience in platforms like Docker, Container, and Kubernetes.
- Database administration knowledge (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redshift, Redis, etc.).
- Knowledge in networking (VPCs, subnets, ELBs, security groups, Route53, Firewall, CloudShield, etc.).
- Knowledge of technologies/languages like Ruby, SQL, Javascript, Bash.
- Demonstrated experience, exposure, and interest in the FinTech space; experience with a Fintech company will be an advantage.
- Understanding of accounting and expense management systems.
- A degree in computer science/engineering or similar studies; completion of Cloud-related certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect is a plus.
- Experience in Oracle cloud (Ideal).
