DevOps Engineer

About the Job
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our infrastructure and applications are stable, scalable, and secure. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS, server management, troubleshooting, security, and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management:
  Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS. Automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.

• Server Management:
  Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and management of servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment processes. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of critical systems and services.

• Troubleshooting and Support:
  Provide ongoing support for production systems, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly. Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve application and infrastructure-related issues. Conduct root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures.

• Security Management:
  Implement and manage security best practices, including network security, encryption, and vulnerability management. Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.

• Database Administration:
  Manage database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Perform database backups, recovery, and optimization tasks. Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably within the fintech/payments/internet banking sector.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Strong experience with server management, automation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices and tools.
• Experience with database administration, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the fintech/payments industry.
