As a DevOps Engineer at the company, your role will ensure that all services are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed for scalability. You will collaborate closely with development teams from design through to resolving production issues while focusing on automation, availability, performance, and reliability across a wide range of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, efficiency, and capacity of the production environment.
- Implement and design systems to operate the company, focusing on automation and large-scale maintainability.
- Build large CI/CD processes, preferably with Github actions.
- Collaborate with development teams on operations-related issues and support as a stakeholder.
- Maintain production-like environments for development and testing to provide a reliable experience for product teams.
- Develop tools to monitor custom applications in a large-scale environment.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack, including hardware, software, application, and network.
- Migrate applications from legacy environments with minimal downtime.
- Document system design and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- 4+ years of experience in supporting hosted services in high-volume, customer-facing environments.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools, processes, culture, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Github actions.
- Ability to write programs using high-level programming languages like Go, Ruby, Python, and Bash.
- 3+ years of experience in managing infrastructure at scale using Kubernetes.
- Experience migrating traditional technology stacks to AWS EKS or similar.
- Familiarity with service mesh tools like Istio on Kubernetes.
