Your Role:
We're seeking a DevOps Engineer (Associate) for our Platform Engineering team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be crucial in building reliable, secure, and scalable platform components that support Tamara’s developers in delivering high-quality products efficiently.
Drawing on your proficiency in cloud infrastructure, internal tooling, and developer platforms, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in maintaining and supporting core platform components, including Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD systems, and monitoring tools.
- Learning and contributing to infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Helm.
- Supporting senior engineers in incident handling, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Helping document platform tools, runbooks, and processes to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions to develop your technical and collaboration skills.
- Taking ownership of small platform tasks or improvements under guidance and mentorship.
Your Expertise:

Experience: A maximum of 2 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Backend Engineering (focusing on reliability and internal systems), or a related field.

Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems, containers (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or OCI).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm, with the ability to manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy basic services.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) and write simple deployment scripts.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Comfortable with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
