We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who’s eager to learn, collaborate, and grow within a cloud-native environment. You’ll work closely with senior DevOps engineers and cloud architects to support automation, monitoring, and deployment initiatives across our infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and AI-assisted automation while contributing to real production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to maintain and administer Linux-based systems, focusing on improving performance, stability, and reliability with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, Python, or Batch to simplify system operations and deployments.
  • Gain exposure to containerized applications using Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE); knowledge is a plus.
  • Support the setup and management of monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch to visualize system health and performance.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) projects using Ansible and Terraform, participating in ongoing automation initiatives.
  • Assist in day-to-day GCP or equivalent cloud environments, including virtual machines, basic networking, IAM roles, and resource optimization.
  • Learn to perform database maintenance activities such as indexing, backup, and restoration.
  • Help configure and maintain Nginx as a reverse proxy or load balancer for applications.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring smooth build and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with the cyber-security team on compliance, vulnerability remediation, and periodic patch updates.
  • Participate in GitOps workflows and source control management using version control tools like GitHub.
  • Be flexible and proactive in taking up assigned tasks as guided by your manager or senior engineers, ensuring completion with quality and accountability.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI tools and assistants into DevOps workflows—such as AI-driven log analysis, predictive monitoring, or CI/CD efficiency improvements.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and continuous learning while assisting in resolving issues in development, staging, and production environments.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, networking, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and cloud automation concepts.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and willingness to learn new technologies.
