DevOps Engineer II

As a DevOps Engineer II on the Platform Engineering team, you will play a key role in building reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that enables Tamara’s developers to deliver products with confidence and speed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and optimizing core platform capabilities, such as Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with various teams to identify and resolve platform friction points, enhancing engineering productivity.
• Participating in on-call rotations, managing incidents, and leading post-incident reviews for long-term stability.
• Contributing to infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools like Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Defining platform standards including tagging, access policies, and cost optimization.
• Supporting the rollout of new tools and frameworks through close collaboration with developers and product teams.
• Documenting platform systems and creating usage guides to encourage internal adoption.

Your Expertise:

• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (GCP, OCI, or AWS).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system debugging.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, ELK).
• Programming or scripting knowledge in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• A creative mindset with a passion for new technologies and solutions to enhance system reliability.
