Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, support, and maintain computer systems and financial trading platforms.
- Operate as part of the global support team, providing coverage across all sites and data centers.
- Develop and implement tools (bespoke and third-party) to automate key areas of software engineering and delivery.
- Primarily accountable for the support and maintenance of all trading applications, alongside the development of tools to automate software engineering processes including monitoring, continuous integration, testing, environment deployments, and releases.
- Collaborate closely with in-house Development and QA teams to align technical solutions with business and front office needs.
- Administer and improve monitoring tools to ensure optimal application availability and performance.
- Support the line manager in identifying gaps within the support and service management framework and assist in implementing both temporary and permanent resolutions.
Qualifications:
- BSc in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience supporting both Windows and Linux-based applications.
- Development and scripting skills in one or more of the following: Python (preferred), C++, C#, Java, PowerShell, Ruby.
- Minimum of six years’ experience in user support and systems management within multicultural and multinational environments.
- Exposure to low-latency, high-frequency infrastructure environments is a strong advantage.
Skills:
- Able to perform under pressure and meet the demands of high-expectation, cross-border clients.
- In-depth understanding of the FIX protocol and its use in FX trading environments.
- Solid grasp of TCP/IP, SSL, and financial network technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Flexible with a willingness to work evenings and weekends where required.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
Candidates with direct experience in the trading/forex industry will be given preference.
