Responsibilities

Key Accountability Areas

Network Design & Implementation

  • Implement network designs and configurations (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs) following architecture blueprints and change control.
  • Deploy and validate network services for new applications/environments (on-prem and cloud connectivity), ensuring design intent is realized in production.

Infrastructure Operations & Monitoring (Network & CCTV)

  • Operate and maintain network and CCTV infrastructure, monitoring health, performance, and capacity, and responding to alerts to meet SLAs.
  • Perform routine checks (connectivity, device health, storage, firmware) and take proactive corrective actions to ensure service continuity.
  • Tune monitoring thresholds, maintain dashboards, and provide operational telemetry to enable rapid detection and resolution of issues.

Performance, Capacity & Availability Management

  • Execute capacity planning inputs and performance tuning (QoS, load balancing, bandwidth optimization) to ensure high availability and low-latency operations.
  • Support high-availability designs, failover testing, and resilience planning to meet defined RTO/RPO and service availability targets.

Incident, Change & Configuration Management

  • Act as escalation point for L2/L3 incidents across network and CCTV domains; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Coordinate with change and release processes to ensure safe deployments and minimize operational risk.
  • Maintain accurate configuration items in CMDB and enforce configuration baselines through controlled change management.

CCTV Design, Installation & Commissioning

  • Implement and commission surveillance solutions (cameras, encoders, NVRs/VMS), ensuring installations follow approved architecture and site standards.
  • Validate camera placement, lighting, and coverage for operational effectiveness and ensure systems are handover-ready with acceptance criteria met.

Network & Storage Integration (CCTV & Enterprise Connectivity)

  • Configure and maintain network segmentation, VLANs, QoS, and bandwidth profiles to support both enterprise traffic and video streams without service degradation.
  • Manage integration of CCTV systems with network and storage platforms (on-prem and cloud), including storage allocation and retention configurations.

Security, Compliance & Audit

  • Implement and enforce security controls across network and CCTV environments (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, encryption, access controls).
  • Apply hardening baselines, support vulnerability remediation, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (including privacy and retention).
  • Produce audit evidence and maintain traceability of configurations, access, and changes.

CCTV Operations, Maintenance & Disaster Recovery

  • Monitor CCTV platform health, troubleshoot device and recording issues, and ensure retention and archival policies are enforced.
  • Maintain backup and restore procedures for VMS and camera configurations and participate in disaster recovery testing for surveillance systems.

Reporting, Documentation & Vendor Management

  • Provide regular updates to the IT Infrastructure Section Head on infrastructure health, risks, performance, and operational metrics.
  • Maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, configuration baselines, and knowledge artifacts to support consistent operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support, firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and vendor teams to ensure integrated and efficient service delivery.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes, taking into account leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Digital Network, or equivalent is required.

Education and Certifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred certifications include infrastructure and architecture, such as Cisco CCNP, Fortinet, data center and SD-WAN technologies, VMware networking, ITIL, and CompTIA Network+/Security+/A+, as well as security certifications.
