About the Role
The role involves introducing and evolving the ‘Release Management’ framework and process that governs all production releases in the RBG Digital space. This is to be achieved through close collaboration with Agile Coaches, the Architect team, and various governance functions such as Business Governance, risk, compliance, and CXCG. The Release Management framework is designed to ensure that release management processes include the necessary artifacts and sign-offs to align with the organization's technology stack, architectural principles, and digital, business, and risk governance. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing policies, processes, and tools that promote proactive adherence to the Release Management framework, ensuring that all deployments are compliant with bank policies and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a framework to ensure proper controls and governance are established prior to releasing new features and digital capabilities to customers and staff.
  • Oversee tools implementation and provide training throughout RBG Digital on the framework while continuously improving best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including CRB, Business Governance, risk, compliance, and CXCG, to enhance the framework and incorporate new regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure documentation of exceptions for production releases that deviate from standard requirements, including a clear mitigation plan.

Qualifications

  • A postgraduate degree with 3+ years of experience in diverse banking departments, preferably with exposure to various operational functions/units.
  • A focused mindset on governance, compliance, and controls.
  • Understanding of technical/digital solutions and their implications along with functional and technology knowledge of major banking applications.
  • Ability to generate simple solutions in complex and unclear situations.
  • Strong grasp of change management practices, especially relating to stakeholder analysis, workforce readiness, and leadership communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong coordination and management skills, complemented by effective stakeholder management.
