About the Role
The role focuses on introducing and evolving a comprehensive ‘Release Management’ framework that governs all production releases within the RBG Digital domain. The successful candidate will collaborate with agile coaches, architect teams, and various governance functions, including Business Governance, risk, compliance, and CXCG. The goal is to ensure that release management processes meet the appropriate standards and align with the company’s technology stack, architectural principles, and digital, business, and risk governance. This includes the development and implementation of policies and tools that enforce processes within the framework, ensuring compliance with bank policies and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement a framework to guarantee proper controls and governance prior to the release of new features and digital capabilities for customers and staff.
- Conduct tools implementation and training throughout RBG Digital based on the framework while continuously improving best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., CRB, Business Governance, risk, compliance, CXCG) to enhance the framework and incorporate new regulatory requirements.
- Ensure any production releases deviating from standard requirements receive documented exceptional approvals, including a clear mitigation plan.
- Periodically share insightful reports on releases and ensure the continuous update of relevant documentation.

- The position operates within a multidisciplinary team environment, which thrives on collaboration and teamwork.
- The role necessitates a fast-paced working environment where rapid decision-making and problem-solving are crucial.
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., CRB, Business Governance, risk, compliance, CXCG) at various seniority levels are essential.
- Strict compliance with the bank's policies and procedures is required.
- Availability may be needed during nights and weekends since many releases occur outside of regular working hours.
Problem Solving
- Ensure timely responses during deployment windows to effectively manage risks.
- Provide solutions for enhancing controls in a high-risk environment.
Decision-Making Authority & Responsibility
- The incumbent will hold the authority to approve or reject production deployments made by Digital squads based on their adherence to the Release Management framework.
- Timely escalation to senior management is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- A postgraduate degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in diverse banking departments, preferably with varied exposure from different operational functions/units.
- A focused mindset on governance, compliance, and controls is essential.
- Understanding of technical/digital solutions and their implications, with functional and technological knowledge of major banking applications.
- Ability to derive simple solutions from complex and ambiguous situations.
- A deep understanding of change management practices, particularly in stakeholder analysis, workforce readiness, and leadership communications.
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient coordination and management skills, including experience in senior stakeholder management.
