Dimensional Engineers

About the Role
The role involves owning dimensional analysis for assigned commodities or shops and coordinating the resolution of dimensional issues. This position requires a keen understanding of General Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T), datum strategies, measurement points, tolerances, build conditions, fixtures, gauges, and evaluating dimensional results.

Responsibilities

• Review GD&T, datum strategy, measurement points, tolerances, build conditions, fixtures, gauges, and dimensional results.
• Analyze variation and identify contributors from product, process, tooling, fixture, measurement, or assembly.
• Lead dimensional problem-solving reviews and maintain action plans until closure.
• Create dashboards and reports to communicate dimensional status, trends, risks, and priorities.
• Demonstrate automotive BIW, closures, stamping, or vehicle dimensional experience, with preference given to those with premium OEM launch experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (BAC +5) with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
• Required automotive BIW, closures, stamping, or vehicle dimensional experience.
