As the Director of Acceptance, you will be responsible for driving the growth, strategy, and execution of merchant acceptance and acquiring partnerships across the UAE market. This role involves leading efforts to expand payment acceptance, deepening strategic relationships with acquirers, and accelerating transaction volume and revenue growth across priority merchant segments. You will own clear commercial outcomes, portfolio performance, and P&L delivery. Operating at a senior leadership level, you will influence regional strategy, manage C-level relationships, and deliver measurable business impact across acceptance and acquiring ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acceptance Growth & Market Expansion:

    • Drive strategy and execution to expand card and digital payment acceptance.
    • Identify new revenue streams and address market acceptance gaps.
    • Partner with sales and product teams to enhance merchant adoption.
  • Acquiring Strategy & Strategic Partnerships:

    • Own and grow strategic relationships with key acquirers and partners in the UAE.
    • Scale opportunities across acquirers and digital partnerships.
  • Revenue Growth, Commercial Ownership & P&L:

    • Deliver full commercial performance, including revenue growth and portfolio profitability.
    • Maintain end-to-end P&L ownership and optimize ROI initiatives.
  • Client Engagement & Executive Influence:

    • Engage with C-level stakeholders to position acceptance and acquiring solutions as strategic growth enablers.
  • Product, Innovation & Solution Expansion:

    • Collaborate with product and technology teams to develop and commercialize new solutions.
  • Strategic Execution & Delivery:

    • Translate strategy into execution roadmaps with clear milestones and KPIs.
  • Leadership & Organizational Impact:

    • Influence cross-functional teams to deliver integrated outcomes and represent the function in leadership forums.

Qualifications:

  • Basic: 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree; or 3+ years with a PhD.
  • Preferred: 12+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree; or 6+ years with a PhD.
    • 10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or digital commerce.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in revenue growth, pricing strategy, deal structuring, and P&L ownership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems and strategic growth opportunities.

Location: United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
