Position

The East Arabia Division is seeking a Director for Business Development in the Fintech & Enabler Segment. This role focuses on building, developing, and managing the Fintech segment across the region, with the primary objective of strategizing and increasing revenue by identifying and pursuing new or existing customer opportunities. The ideal candidate should be passionate about utilizing payments technology to drive digital transformation in emerging sectors and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

In this high-profile, customer-facing position, you will partner with fintech companies across East Arabia, enhancing relationships in sub-segments like eWallets and Payment Facilitators. Responsibilities include driving Mastercard's revenue growth, developing business cases including ROI analyses, and managing responses to RFPs. You will also establish both day-to-day and senior business relationships, create roadmaps, and ensure strategic alignment through frequent interactions. Negotiating with partners and internal stakeholders to develop term sheets and contracts is crucial. In addition, building a roadmap and pipeline for the ecosystem to boost growth and commercialization is key.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Operate with high levels of empowerment and accountability.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills and the ability to forge effective partnerships with stakeholders in banks, government, and third-party processors.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in business or possess equivalent work experience.
  • Have expertise in deal commercialization and P&L management, along with significant experience in sales and business development.
  • Possess a deep knowledge of payment solutions and the Fintech landscape in the region.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively build and nurture relationships with senior and C-Suite executives.
