ABOUT THE JOB
Join the company’s Middle East team as a Business Development Director, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping, capturing, and executing Business Development opportunities with International Partners. This position is based in the UAE and involves significant international travel, trade show coordination, and a deep understanding of country-specific budget cycles. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Generate and capture opportunities in the Middle East, focusing on building business for the company’s portfolio.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and prospective customers, their programmatic and technical roadmaps, and the competitive landscape to inform capture strategies and revenue forecasts.
  • Manage continuous engagements with current and future clients, generate growth strategies, and monitor buying cycles for opportunities.
  • Lead specific proposal and capture efforts to ensure business growth.
  • Create cohesive business plans and execution models that outline acquisition plans and align with investment strategies, engaging key stakeholders to shape requirements and secure funding.
  • Represent all Business Lines across the company’s portfolio, partnering with execution teams and product engineers to explore new areas of work or opportunities.
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition to clients, projecting the company's ethos and competitive advantages.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior acquisition or operational experience with defense systems across various roles and missions.
  • Experience working with foreign militaries or ministries of defense, particularly in the Middle East.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior executives and customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% – 75%.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S., U.K., Canada, New Zealand, or Australian Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in shaping and leading capture efforts within the defense industry.
  • Knowledge of FMS/DCS processes and direct international customer engagement.
  • High ownership with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Innovative mindset with a capacity for developing new market strategies.
  • Comfortable working in resource-limited environments.
  • Ability to speak Arabic at an intermediate or advanced level.
