Job Description:
The Growth Data Science Director will play a pivotal role in leading and accelerating growth strategies across various dimensions, including marketing optimization, growth product initiatives (e.g., churn reduction), ecosystem plays, and ads revenue optimization for tmart and Quick commerce. This leader will drive business impact through the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments, empowering product, marketing, and operations teams to make data-informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Science: Define and execute a data strategy that aligns with company goals, leveraging data to drive business decisions.
- Experimentation & Causal Inference: Oversee frameworks for A/B testing, multi-armed bandit testing, and ensure best practices for hypothesis formulation and causality analysis.
- Analytics & Insights: Partner with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical problems and present data-driven recommendations.
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate strategic leadership skills and align team efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Collaboration and Influence: Work collaboratively across departments and manage relationships with external partners.
- Resource Management: Manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, making data-driven decisions about resource allocation.
- Strategic Hiring and Talent Development: Responsible for recruiting, retaining talent, and developing career paths for team members.
- Organizational Change Management: Manage organizational change effectively, ensuring team adaptability to new technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of professional experience in data science, including leadership roles.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, statistics, or data science.
- Proven experience leading teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Deep knowledge of data science principles, including statistics and causal inference.
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate complex business landscapes.
- Strategic thinking with proficiency in developing and executing data-driven plans.
