What You Will Deliver
Industrial AI Strategy & Portfolio
- Shape and evolve the Industrial AI strategy and investment portfolio, directing resources toward opportunities with strong strategic, operational, and economic value.
- Translate various priorities into a balanced portfolio of scalable AI opportunities with clear value, feasibility, risk, and adoption criteria.
- Establish the required governance and operating model to scale Industrial AI responsibly across operations.
Operational Performance & Value
- Drive measurable enhancements across safety, productivity, recovery, reliability, process stability, cost, energy efficiency, and sustainability through targeted Industrial AI solutions.
- Advance AI-enabled decision-making across various operations, including exploration and mine planning.
- Transition high-value AI initiatives from experimentation into production, ensuring sustained operational benefits.
Scalable AI & Technology Integration
- Lead the deployment of production-grade AI capabilities to tackle complex industrial challenges.
- Facilitate the effective integration of AI with operational technology and other relevant enterprise technologies.
- Leverage enterprise AI platforms and architecture standards to accelerate deployment, minimizing risk and duplication.
Governance & Operational Assurance
- Govern Industrial AI solutions with regard to model performance, cybersecurity, data governance, and operational safety.
- Establish transparent performance and value tracking for informed investment decisions.
- Ensure initiatives meet all approved quality, financial, technical, and risk expectations.
People, Partnerships & Enterprise Adoption
- Build and lead an integrated Industrial AI function across various operations, enhancing AI capability and domain expertise.
- Develop senior partnerships across multiple business functions to integrate AI into operational workflows.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with technology providers and research institutions to drive innovation and capability development.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in AI, advanced analytics, optimization, automation, or digital transformation.
- Experience in mining, metals, energy, manufacturing, or another asset-intensive industrial environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and scalable AI solution development.
- Proven track record of initiating and executing complex initiatives from strategy to benefits realization.
