You are expected to empower our employees by providing them with flexible tools while maintaining the security of our operations. We’re a cloud-native company, which means we don’t have on-premises data centers; familiarity with a cloud-only approach is essential. You will have complete control over our IT strategy and will help talabat navigate the challenges of being a highly distributed company with many offices across three continents.
Job Description:
- Design and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the Delivery Hero strategy, covering device and license acquisition, networking, security, and SSO.
- Define an IT roadmap to facilitate international scaling.
- Oversee the overall IT budget and provide monthly forecasts.
- Supervise IT projects and initiatives.
- Operate production systems for VoIP and IVR, and upgrade company internal networks to interconnect all headquarters, local offices, and tMarts.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Tech departments.
- Automate key processes including employee onboarding, offboarding, asset management, and access management.
- Develop an account and permissions management strategy for employees in collaboration with the Delivery Hero ETS team.
- Implement and enforce security strategies for employee devices.
- Ensure compliance with standards like PCI by implementing necessary IT solutions.
- Lead proofs of concept for new products beneficial to talabat.
- Enhance the help-desk service to address IT issues faced by talabat employees.
- Manage vendor relationships, with a focus on budget allocation and efficiency.
- Manage a distributed team across the region.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
- High flexibility and ability to make decisions on the go; this role does not suit individuals accustomed to a traditional, structured environment.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing an IT team in a mid-sized company with distributed offices.
- Experience deploying endpoint protection software and establishing security policies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and scripting.
- Experience with automation and integrations; this is a hands-on role.
- Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS.
- Deep understanding of IAM/SSO solutions.
- Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar university degree.
