Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring a secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets. What You Will Do
- Oversee the daily operations of the security department, ensuring the safety and security of the hotel’s guests, staff, and property.
- Lead, train, and manage the security team, ensuring effective performance and adherence to hotel security policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update security protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, ensuring quick resolution and safety.
- Manage the surveillance systems and review footage to investigate and report incidents.
- Ensure security policies are followed during hotel events, meetings, and guest activities.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations, especially during large events or high-risk situations.
- Monitor and assess the security of hotel access points, parking areas, and public spaces.
- Prepare reports on security-related incidents, daily activities, and department performance metrics.
- Manage the department’s budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources, staffing, and equipment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Proven experience in security management, with previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions in crisis situations.
- Familiarity with security systems, surveillance tools, and incident reporting software.
- Proficiency in English.
