EPAM is looking for a technically hands-on Director of Solution Architecture & Technology Consulting in Dubai, UAE with Oil and Gas experience to help drive critical client projects. This is a great opportunity to work with EPAM’s local Middle East and European Tech Leaders, Global Architects/Engineers, Delivery Teams, and those from our client accounts supporting them in navigating a rapidly developing technology landscape.
The role requires a background in solution architecture, technology consulting, software development, client engagement, and stakeholder management. Our Architects must have the ability to engage in opening discussions, identify technology needs, recommend the right technology choices, and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead critical client projects of varying maturity from establishing project requirements and goals, designing high-level solutions up to solution "go-live” across different industry sectors.
- Align closely with EPAM’s wider leadership teams to help shape the business/technology/strategic direction across client projects.
- Provide guidance through the complexity of solution architecture, balancing innovation, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
- Partner with multi-disciplinary teams including delivery managers, product managers, and development teams across different geographies up to CxO level.
- Identify new business opportunities by formulating and presenting technology cases to drive overall business strategy.
- Direct technology consultancy efforts by creating and presenting POCs, driving architecture proposals, and providing pre-sales and RFP support.
- Represent EPAM at internal and external conferences, enhancing visibility and thought leadership in the industry.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
- Oil and Gas industry experience.
- Proven experience as a hands-on Senior/Lead/Chief Architect, Director of Architecture/Technology Consulting, or CTO with a strong foundation in software development, AI Architecture, SAP Architecture, platform delivery, architecture design, and digital transformation.
- Strong experience in Microservice-based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology whilst leveraging native Cloud services (Azure).
- Excellent client-facing experience with the ability to influence and guide senior management up to CTO level.
- Pre-sales experience with the ability to act in an advisory capacity to senior level client management.
