Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and govern the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) strategy across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Define, maintain, and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical applications and infrastructure.
- Plan, execute, and manage DR drills, failover/failback tests, and live recovery events.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify recovery gaps.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, network, security, and business teams during DR events.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements, especially in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
- Manage DR documentation, runbooks, and recovery playbooks.
- Drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and lessons learned.
- Manage third-party DR vendors and cloud service providers.
- Report DR readiness, risks, and KPIs to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and IT Resilience frameworks.
- Experience managing DR for critical banking/financial applications (preferred).
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
- Ability to lead crisis situations and coordinate cross-functional teams.
