Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and govern the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) strategy across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Define, maintain, and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Plan, execute, and manage DR drills, failover/failback tests, and live recovery events.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify recovery gaps.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, application, network, security, and business teams during DR events.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements, especially in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
  • Manage DR documentation, runbooks, and recovery playbooks.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and lessons learned.
  • Manage third-party DR vendors and cloud service providers.
  • Report DR readiness, risks, and KPIs to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and IT Resilience frameworks.
  • Experience managing DR for critical banking/financial applications (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
  • Ability to lead crisis situations and coordinate cross-functional teams.
