The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing, modifying, and analyzing technical drawings of MEP projects, including HVAC, Fire Protection, Lighting, Small Power, ELV systems, Plumbing, and Drainage installations. Job Responsibilities
- Prepare schedules for the generation of drawings in alignment with the MEP project timelines.
- Review tender drawings, assess the drafting work involved in the project, and prepare a timeline for completion of detailed design and shop drawings.
- Manage drawing-related tasks to meet project targets by regularly monitoring and reporting on progress.
- Prepare, modify, and analyze drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Drainage Projects using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, and Microstation.
- Closely coordinate with the Design Manager, Estimation Engineers, Site Engineers, and Project Managers for data collection and to review drawings.
- Collaborate with the client drafting team for interface discussions or clarifications during various project phases.
- Work with the ESCO team to incorporate energy-saving measures into the drawing-related tasks.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience in MEP project drawing preparation using tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, and Microstation.
- Alternatively, a Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Drafting fields with a minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP project drawing preparation with similar software.
Experience
- For candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing MEP project drawings for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings.
- At least 1 year of experience in the UAE or other GCC countries in MEP project drawing preparation.
- Experience in the ESCO industry is preferred.
