Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) is on a mission to establish a world-leading game studio in Saudi Arabia, focusing on high-quality games for international audiences. The studio aims to nurture the local gaming sector to develop homegrown intellectual property and make Saudi Arabia a global hub for gaming.

As part of the Steer Studios team, you will collaborate with top global gaming talent in Riyadh, alongside passionate and innovative Saudis. We are seeking an Economy Designer who has a passion for various genres of games and a strong drive for storytelling. In this role, you will work closely with the game team to create game designs, prototypes, define game mechanics, and coordinate with other teams to ensure the execution of high-quality products.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and balance the game economy in our games.
• Create simulations and models to test, balance, and optimize game economies, keeping in mind the target audience and various player profiles, and update them to accommodate emerging best practices.
• Develop detailed balance sheets, charts, and reports to analyze and enhance the game’s economy.
• Analyze player data to compare it with simulations and identify areas for improvement.
• Understand the key performance indicators (KPIs) of games to optimize their balance.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of economy systems and features.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market research, and competitive landscapes to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in economy design for mobile games, with at least one game released on the market.
• Strong understanding of the free-to-play (F2P) market.
• Ability to create, balance, and optimize complex economy simulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, along with a solid background in mathematics or statistics.
• Understanding of player psychology and behavior.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Passion for video games.
