About the Job:
Steer Studios (formerly known as Savvy Games Studios) is on a mission to establish itself as a world-leading game studio in Saudi Arabia, focusing on creating high-quality games for international audiences. The studio aims to develop homegrown IP and position KSA as a global hub for gaming.

As part of the Steer Studios team, you will collaborate with top global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh, alongside innovative and passionate Saudi professionals. We are seeking an Economy Designer with a passion for various game genres and a strong drive for storytelling. You will work with the game team to design game mechanics, create prototypes, and ensure the game design is executed into a high-quality product.

Responsibilities:

• Design and balance the game economy in our games.
• Create simulations and models to test, balance, and optimize game economies, considering target audiences and player profiles.
• Develop detailed balance sheets, charts, and reports to analyze and enhance the game’s economy.
• Analyze player data against simulations to identify areas for improvement.
• Understand game KPIs to optimize game balance.
• Collaborate with the development team for seamless integration of economy systems and features.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market research, and competitive landscape to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in economy design on mobile platforms, with at least one game released on the market.
• Strong understanding of the free-to-play (F2P) market.
• Ability to create, balance, and optimize complex economy simulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, along with a solid math/statistics background.
• Understanding of player psychology and behavior.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Passion for video games.
