In this role, the ECT Technical Application Engineer will be working on business development of GA Market, product prequalification, competitor analysis, and GA market understanding, along with providing L2 technical support and ensuring customer intimacy with clients in Utilities and Oil & Gas. The engineer will closely coordinate activities with the company sales, engineering, and services, reporting directly to the GA Lead Technical Applications Engineer. The position is for a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sessions: Technical Marketing, creation of opportunities based on installed base, and market information.
- Application Support (L2): Provide technical support to clients in the region, including technical queries, developing customized solutions, supporting scheme engineering, and analyzing field performance.
- Promotions & Approvals: Support product launches, presentations, discussions, spec-in activities, exhibitions, and site trials through Marketing. Implement actions necessary for product approvals based on regional strategy and priorities.
- Product Problems / Non-quality Issues: Investigate and resolve product problems reported by customers (L2) and support local actions required to address major non-quality issues.
- Commercial (Tendering & Negotiation): Assist the Tendering team by studying customer’s technical and commercial requirements and supporting management during contract negotiation.
- Commercial Channels & Market Monitoring: Increase awareness of GA solutions and obtain competitor data, market share, and volume. Track evolving customer specifications and requirements.
- Product Management: Stay informed about product obsoletions and new product availability, providing customer support aligned with regional strategy. Track firmware upgrades and changes in product features, participating in necessary local actions and supporting customer product literature needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.
- Fresh graduates or a maximum of 2 years of experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Legal right to work in Bahrain without company sponsorship or time restriction.
