Objective:
Liaise with the assigned team leader to execute engineering activities related to the electrical systems or the electrical department's goals. Collaborate with assigned team members within the agreed scope of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to OHSE legislations, standards, and Organization Policies & Procedures.
- Support the preparation of electrical work packages, associated nonrecurring engineering costs, schedule planning, and subcontracting for electrical systems.
- Report on the progress of development projects through the different phases of electrical development.
- Create designs and technical solutions in collaboration with team members; review electrical designs for accuracy, manufacturability, or completeness.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and report on electrical work progress.
- Implement prototypes and qualify designs through testing.
- Troubleshoot new or existing designs/products; determine root causes of failures, recommend design changes, and establish processes related to all aspects of electrical systems at the vehicle or subsystem level.
- Stay updated on emerging industry trends in military vehicle electrical development and technology.
- Advise, guide, and provide oversight to other departments.
- Work within the defined limits of authority as set by the line manager.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver quality designs, drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Adhere to committed deliverables regarding schedule and budget.
- Support lean targets, workload planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of Automotive Electrical Systems.
- Knowledge of test and electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with configuration and engineering processes.
- Understanding of Electrical and/or Electronic automotive design.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
Additional Experience:
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams is required.
- Experience with vehicle electrical and electronic systems is required.
- Basic knowledge of configuration management, structured engineering processes, and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of industrialization and manufacturing processes.
