Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D electrical BIM models using Revit MEP.
- Prepare electrical layouts including lighting, small power, emergency lighting, and containment systems.
- Model cable trays, cable ladders, conduits, electrical equipment, and distribution panels.
- Prepare electrical shop drawings, coordinated layouts, sections, and installation details from BIM models.
- Coordinate electrical models with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other building services.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks Manage or similar software.
- Update BIM models based on approved drawings, consultant comments, and site requirements.
- Prepare coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings in accordance with project specifications.
- Follow the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), modeling standards, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
- Coordinate with BIM coordinators, MEP engineers, draftsmen, consultants, and site teams.
- Ensure model accuracy, drawing quality, and timely submission of project deliverables.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling for MEP projects.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, cable containment, and electrical equipment.
- Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection, and shop drawing preparation.
- Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plans.
- UAE project experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
