Electrical Design Engineer

The role involves creating detailed physical and electrical designs and supporting job estimates under the supervision of a technical lead. Responsibilities include preparing CAD drawings and other project documentation as well as providing design engineering support to project technical leads. You will be expected to complete assigned work within timelines and budgets while maintaining a high level of quality.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience OR Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Three plus years of relevant experience with high voltage electrical design, particularly in protective relay control systems
• Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products
• Competency in CAD drafting (AUTOCAD or Microstation)
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess a BSEE, BSET, or related design degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience testing and commissioning protective relay, process control, and SCADA control systems
• Electrical utility, consulting, or system integrator experience
