As an Electrical Draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of electrical drawings, including shop drawings, coordination drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings. Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Develop detailed layouts for:
- Lighting and emergency lighting
- Small power and socket outlets
- MDB, SMDB, DB, and panel layouts
- Cable trays, trunking, and conduits
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Earthing and lightning protection
- Low-current systems where required
- Prepare cable routing, containment, wiring, and equipment layouts.
- Coordinate electrical drawings with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural, and Structural drawings.
- Identify and resolve clashes and discrepancies before and during site execution.
- Prepare sections, details, schematics, builder's work drawings, sleeves, and penetration details.
- Incorporate consultant comments and prepare revised drawings for approval.
- Prepare drawings for RFI and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Site Engineers, BIM Coordinators, Consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits to verify actual conditions and prepare as-built drawings.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions, records, and documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
- Strong knowledge of electrical MEP systems and building services.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of UAE authority requirements such as DEWA/DCD/DDA is preferred.
- UAE/GCC project experience preferred.
- Experience with high-rise buildings, villas, commercial, and residential projects is preferred.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
