What You'll Be Doing:

  • Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of Electrical engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting work status.
  • Produce typical products such as detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Provide support for other engineering activities as required, potentially supervising subordinates and providing performance input.
  • Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or serve as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
  • Offer input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Exhibit experience and familiarity with Dubai Local Authorities’ (RTA) procedural, review, and approval requirements.
  • Review drawings & designs prior to RTA approval submissions, follow up with contractors and RTA for approval while maintaining files and records on designated forms/format. Ensure contractor responsibilities are clear and sanctioned by the client.
  • Coordinate with RTA contractors for the execution of LV/HV work.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed associated with this position.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience managing roads and infrastructure, including utilities works, and traffic signal engineering within the UAE, preferably Dubai.
  • Strong ability to develop working relationships with third-party clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Experience dealing with government authorities such as RTA, DEWA, DM, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of RTA regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
