As an Electrical Engineer (Road Lighting - LED) based in Dubai, UAE, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with various engineering and construction teams to create safe, sustainable, and innovative infrastructure across the Middle East.

As part of the engineering and construction management team, you will coordinate MEP construction works, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among various engineering disciplines. You will be responsible to the Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer, working closely with Structural Engineers, Utility Engineers, Materials Engineers, and Surveyors.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate and liaise with Utility Agency representatives and Contractors concerning all construction approvals and design changes.
  • Monitor and review material submissions and ensure the updating of the Materials Schedule to prevent construction delays.
  • Maintain general oversight of inspection, surveying, and testing requests for MEP works.
  • Review and approve Contractor’s MEP Shop Drawings as directed by the Resident Engineer.
  • Prepare minutes for MEP meetings.
  • Coordinate and monitor all inspections, testing, and materials reconciliation necessary for commissioning MEP works to secure final N.O.C.s.
  • Verify measurements of work taken by Inspectors and Land Surveyors.
  • Review as-built utilities drawings in collaboration with inspectors and surveyors.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with typically 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years managing construction and supervising infrastructure projects, particularly in road/street lighting (LED).
  • Professional Engineer registration may be required.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with third-party clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Experience interacting with government authorities such as DEWA, RTA, DM, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of DEWA regulations and standards.
  • Proficient in CAD and other engineering-related PC software packages.
