The company is looking for an exceptionally talented Electrical Engineer (Infrastructure) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will perform conventional and moderately complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within your discipline.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the scope of work, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting work status.
- Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required and may supervise one or more subordinates while providing input regarding their performance.
- May be assigned to a project or organizational team or serve as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on small to intermediate-size projects.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Experience and familiarity with Dubai Local Authorities’ (DEWA) procedural, review, and approval requirements, including reviewing drawings & designs prior to DEWA submission and following up with contractors and DEWA for approvals.
- Coordinate with DEWA and contractors for the execution of LV/HV work.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
- 15+ years of managing construction and supervising building projects and infrastructure works.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with third-party clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Experience in dealing with government authorities such as DEWA, RTA, DM, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of DEWA regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity with excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
