Electrical Engineering Intern

The devices we make at SEL are embedded in the power grid. They prevent blackouts, make outages safer and shorter in duration, and add cybersecurity, automation, and communication. They utilize cutting-edge technologies and operate at speeds that push other pieces of the grid to go faster. As an Engineering Intern in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to SEL staff & customers.
• Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.
• Perform testing on new and existing technology.
• Document and communicate test results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently a fresh graduate or a final year student pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work full time.
• Interest in electrical power systems, protection, and control.
• Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
