About the Job
- Develop expertise in power systems, Protection, and all related products.
- Assist customers in applying products through visits, demonstrations, training courses, and telephone contact.
- Provide solutions to a wide variety of increasingly difficult problems with imaginative, thorough, and practical approaches. Independently support customers in at least two knowledge areas of your specialization field.
- Contribute to product specifications, application/testing software, and literature creation.
- Participate in and present at marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
- Teach university courses within your core area.
- Publish multiple application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and technical conference papers.
- Provide assistance on products and applications to engineers, associates, and interns.
- Regularly contribute to the customer feedback process, FAQs, IMI teams, and improvement of training material. Identify WCM initiatives and lead efforts to enhance them.
- Adhere to and apply company Values, Principles of Operations, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
- Follow the principles: Understand, Create, Simplify.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)
- Typically, 6+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and protection.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Excellent technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills.
- Strong communicator who actively seeks ways to improve customer experience.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage others, gaining their confidence and trust easily.
- Skilled in planning, instruction, and leadership to successfully carry out tasks.
- Models high standards of honesty and integrity.
- Capable of learning new skills and taking on new responsibilities.
- Proficient in selecting, applying, and teaching principles, theories, and concepts in your specialization field.
- Satisfactory background check results.
- Negative drug test result(s).
