Program Details
- Duration: 6 months, full-time (40 hours/week), with a view to become permanent at the end of the traineeship depending on performance and business needs.
- Schedule: Standard Monday–Friday day schedule.
- Role Transition: The traineeship provides exposure to the skills required for a future full-time Data Center Engineering Operations Technician role. Please note that a full-time role may involve shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Infrastructure Services (AIS)
The company Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global infrastructure. We are the team that keeps the cloud running by supporting all data centers with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing exceptional capacity at the lowest possible costs for our customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a trainee on the Engineering Operations team, you will:
- Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Use our internal CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage workflows.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors onsite.
- Work with critical equipment supporting mission-critical servers, including: diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
- Regularly lift/move up to 22kg (49lbs) unassisted, with participation in group lifts for heavier loads.
- Utilize hands to handle and manipulate small tools, wires, and objects.

Basic Qualifications
- UAE National with a family book.
- Recently graduated or enrolled in the final semester, with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or
- Recently graduated from a Technical/Trade school program (HVAC, electrician, facilities maintenance, or similar).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
