This position works under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer to execute all preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities, annual outages, and overhauling work activities on plant equipment with strict adherence to safety protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure all duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, complying with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, adhering to applicable maintenance procedures and work instructions. Document maintenance concerns and histories for the equipment.
- Report to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer for spare parts and consumables needed for maintenance activities and update spare parts availability to meet maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper isolations are conducted before commencing maintenance activities on respective equipment, in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems while performing maintenance on equipment; possess a good understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings related to the equipment used in the plant.
- Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair a variety of static and rotating electrical equipment in power and desalination plants.
- Carry out necessary preparations for electrical maintenance of assigned equipment/area.
- Maintain a working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
- Perform 5S housekeeping in the work area.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as Skilled Electrical Labor in the company plants for a minimum of 4 years.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering.
Minimum Experience
- Four years in a comparable position or worked as Skilled Electrical Labor in the company plants for a minimum of 4 years.
Preferable Experience
- Extensive experience as an Electrical Technician in Conventional, Combined Cycle, Cogeneration, Water Desalination Plants (RO, MSF, MED, etc.), and Renewable Energy plants (Solar, Wind Mills, etc.).
Required Skills
- General awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management System principles.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment while completing objectives efficiently with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to work in non-ideal environments, including confined spaces, heights, and around chemicals.
- Understanding and enforcement of safe work practices concerning respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tag-out procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, confined space entry, and PPE use.
- Knowledge of waste identification, classification, and disposal.
- Awareness of environmental and health impacts of chemicals used in the plant.
- Familiarity with firefighting equipment.
- First aid knowledge and measures.
- Basic understanding of Power/Water plant operational activities.
- Basic computer skills.
Desired Certifications/Skills/Training
- Preferably possess ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge.
