Responsibilities
- Conduct routine electrical tests on switchgear equipment, including insulation resistance tests, circuit breaker tests, and functional tests.
- Document test results accurately and prepare detailed reports for each test conducted.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
- Maintain testing equipment in good working order, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly before use.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed strictly during testing operations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide technical support to clients and field personnel regarding switchgear testing and operation.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in electrical testing technology.
Requirements
- A minimum of an associate degree in electrical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience in electrical testing.
- At least 2 years of experience working with electrical switchgear testing and maintenance.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and insulation testers.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
