ELV Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team, responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of automatic gate barriers and associated systems. This role involves working with various types of gate barriers, CCTV cameras, and access control systems, ensuring optimal functionality and security for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission automatic gate barriers including boom barriers, sliding gates, swing gates, and bollards.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing of gate barrier systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
• Test safety devices such as loop detectors, photocells, safety edges, and emergency stop systems.
• Integrate gate barriers with access control systems (RFID, ANPR, card readers, keypads, and intercoms).
• Install, repair, and maintain CCTV cameras.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance for security equipment.
• Identify areas requiring CCTV monitoring.
• Manage structural cabling, including copper patching and IDF and MDF preparation.
• Execute cable runs for CAT 5, CAT 5e, CAT6, and Fiber optic cables with precision.
• Work with CCTV brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, and Hanwha.
• Have familiarity with access control systems.

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical field (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in gate barriers or access control systems.
• Good knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and sensors.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Basic Networking knowledge is an advantage.
