Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Zephyr RTOS device drivers for various sensors, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to develop robust embedded solutions using Nordic Semiconductor MCUs (e.g., nRF52 and nRF53 series).
- Prototype IoT concepts into functional demonstrators (TRL 4-6), incorporating secure communications and reliable sensor integration.
- Work with academic and industry partners to apply cutting-edge research findings to IoT and cyber-physical systems.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, technical documentation, patent drafting, and participate in relevant industry forums and conferences.
Required Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with LoRa and LoRaWAN for low-power, wide-area networking.
- Demonstrable expertise in writing Zephyr RTOS device drivers and interfacing with new sensors.
- Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ development, specifically with ARM-based MCUs (Nordic Semiconductor nRF series preferred).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, debugging techniques, and writing low-level drivers and interrupt service routines.
- Broad understanding of IoT security principles and wireless network security paradigms.
- Familiarity with 3D printing for rapid prototyping and sensor integration solutions.
- Competent with Python scripting and Linux Bash environments.
- Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Ability to learn new skills and operate in a fast-paced and changing environment.
