As an Embedded Linux Field Engineer, you will engage with customers during presales, gather requirements, and present our technology solutions. You will participate in the delivery of embedded Linux projects and advocate for customer needs while providing trusted advice to Canonical.
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote with travel up to 30% for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
Responsibilities:
- Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology.
- Elaborate solutions to propose to prospective clients.
- Participate in the delivery of embedded Linux projects.
- Convey market requirements to key stakeholders and participate in the development of solutions.
- Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor to Canonical.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive Linux experience (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
- Experience with distribution/packaging (deb, rpm, etc.).
- Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot).
- Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Professional written and spoken English, and proficiency in the local language for positions in Japan and Korea.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and a result-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and a personal drive to meet commitments.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with customer engagements is a plus, but not required.
