We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to support customers in critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Consumer Electronics. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Linux systems, including distribution packaging, software design, and system debugging. This position entails working closely with clients to support the integration and implementation of our technologies.
As an Embedded Linux Field Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with customers during presales to gather requirements and present our technology.
- Developing solutions for prospective clients.
- Participating in the delivery of projects related to Embedded Linux.
- Communicating market requirements to stakeholders and assisting in the development of solutions to unlock market potential.
- Acting as both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
- Experience in Distribution/Packaging (deb, rpm, etc.).
- Solid experience with embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.).
- Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Professional written and spoken English; fluency in the local language is required for positions in Japan and Korea.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with the ability to multi-task and a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Must be a humble learner and quick study.
- Experience with customer engagements is a plus.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with embedded software development methodologies is advantageous.
