Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of Field Engineers, ranging from graduate to senior levels.
- Coaching, mentoring, and providing career development feedback to team members.
- Identifying and measuring team health indicators.
- Implementing disciplined engineering processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Planning and managing progress on agreed goals and projects.
Location:
This is a remote role based in Dubai, UAE, with the requirement to work within a single major time zone in the Americas, EMEA, or APAC.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in professional written and spoken English is essential; additional language proficiency is a desirable trait.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic record with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux, preferably with Yocto or similar.
- Proficiency in Linux, specifically Debian or Ubuntu.
- Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and a result-oriented mindset.
