As an Embedded Linux Field Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer challenges by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate remotely within a single major time zone.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
- Identify and measure team health indicators.
- Implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
- Plan and manage project progress against agreed goals.
- Participate actively as a member of the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic track record, including a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or similar) and Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust).
- Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers.
- Professional written and spoken English is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to communicate the business benefits of technology.
Desirable Traits:
- RTOS experience.
- Knowledge of additional programming or human languages.
- Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
Work Conditions:
- This is a remote position requiring location within the Americas, EMEA, or APAC.
- The role involves collaborating with teams across multiple time zones.

- Fluency in professional written and spoken English is mandatory.
