Job Description
We seek an individual with strong software architecting and design capabilities, with a focus on software reusability and adherence to industry best practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting model-based engineering and participating as a member of design teams.
- Documenting software requirements and designs using both graphical and non-graphical models.
- Engaging in the technical specification of software design, considering international standards and practices such as MIL-STDs and IEC/IEEE standards.
- Applying advanced software engineering practices and participating in design reviews.
- Developing Software Requirement Specifications, Software Design Documents, and Interface Control Specifications utilizing static and behavioral software models.
- Delivering working embedded software (C, embedded C) that meets requirements and complies with company quality and coding standards.
The successful candidate will also contribute to technical design teams regarding evaluation, testing practices, methods, coding, verification, acceptance, and certification. Additionally, the role involves maintaining existing embedded C software, fixing reported defects, and enhancing software structure for reusability.
Profile / Requirements
- Degree in Electronic/Software Engineering (Honours or Masters).
- At least 5 years of experience in the software engineering domain.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in certification/classification methodologies of software.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting embedded software.
- Solid understanding of software development practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in the defense or guided munition industry is preferred.
