Position

The Endpoint Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining security devices, tools, and products implemented at the company for day-to-day operations. The role involves regular monitoring of security logs and events for IT security devices to proactively detect actual or potential attacks on the company's network. Key responsibilities include:

  • Incident response to attack attempts and containment of incidents.
  • Following security hardening baselines/guidelines and generating required reports.
  • On-call availability for critical alerts or issues reported by the company's Command Center after working hours, weekends, and public holidays, with proper escalation to the Manager - IT SECURITY OPERATIONS.
  • Ensuring compliance with published policies and procedures (PMO, ITIL processes, ISO 9001 & 27001) and company processes related to ITD.
  • Resolving any findings from audits within the agreed timeframe.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and monitor security devices, tools, and products.
  • Perform security device configuration changes as per the company's standard Change Management Process.
  • Conduct security device health checks per approved checklists, ensuring the latest stable software and signature updates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to security.
  • Ensure company user PCs are secured against malware attacks, confidential data loss, and identity theft.
  • Proactively monitor for vulnerabilities and ensure appropriate device control and whole disk encryption for mobile laptops.
  • Provide Level 2 support for any security incidents and escalate as necessary.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including a deep understanding of its services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
