About the Role
We deliver world-class energy and sustainability services to help customers globally understand and manage their Energy and CO2 reduction. We are seeking an experienced Energy Consulting Engineer with substantial expertise and interest in energy audits, energy management, power monitoring data collection, customer service, and new technologies to join our Sustainability team. As a key member of this team, you will leverage your technical skills to play a pivotal role in our Efficiency Services, travel frequently, and collaborate closely with the Sustainability Services team and other key stakeholders to ensure the timely implementation of EMIS projects.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

  • Provide Energy Audit & Consulting service for customers in the MEA region.
  • Conduct measurement campaigns with energy measuring instruments like power analyzers, anemometers, and others.
  • Possess 3 to 5 years and more experience in Industry and Building segments in Energy Efficiency opportunities technical knowledge.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customers’ energy management and Sustainability goals related to business needs and incorporate customer process and energy audit actions and implementation.
  • Research customer needs and applicable technical solutions, including analysis of alternatives.
  • Work independently and with minimal guidance on assigned projects and activities, including project managing small to mid-sized services with Partners for onsite audits.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with the global team and other stakeholders.
  • Travel to customer sites and country organization offices to implement EMIS systems and provide system training.
  • Review requirements for estimation and service delivery planning.
    • Anticipate and manage technical risks.
    • Collaborate closely with Efficiency Service Head to ensure service execution aligns with estimates.
  • Evaluate and select third-party components and new technologies for rapid development.
  • Provide technical documentation for peers, stakeholders, and external audiences.
  • Build and share expertise in software systems and solutions, hardware, and supporting technologies and processes (develop best practices).
  • Identify high ROI opportunities that can be implemented in our software platforms and solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Essential

  • Passionate about customer needs and energy management consulting.
  • AEE certified Energy Auditors certification preferred.
  • MTech or B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Power Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Energy Consulting role within Buildings and Industry segments.
  • Strong knowledge of various energy efficiency standards and governmental energy regulations.
  • Exceptional focus on customer service and quality.
  • Strong communication skills and documentation experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a global team in remote locations.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and handle pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility for delivering results.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage scheduling and resource requirements.
  • Strong understanding of electrical terminology and concepts.
  • Interpersonal skills: team-oriented, positive, and collaborative.
  • Willingness to travel to offices and customer sites worldwide.

Desirable

  • Experience in consulting with Industry and Building customers.
  • Solid understanding of the energy management domain.
  • Familiarity with third-party products relevant to energy management.
  • Comprehensive electrical knowledge including power theory, electrical theory, wiring, and safety.
  • On-site power system experience.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in additional language(s).
