As an Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in formulating strategic recommendations and implementing changes for clients. You will manage individual project modules, deploy commercial acumen in structuring and performing key analyses and deliverables with minimal support, and develop areas of focus while identifying leads from existing projects. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to formally coach junior staff.
What You’ll Do
As a Manager, you will:
- Manage modules of a project or designated scope in client billable project work.
- Engage in problem-solving through data gathering and structuring, independently forming insights and actions from analysis with a holistic view of the engagement.
- Coach team members to build complex financial, operational, or market models using your Excel and financial proficiency.
- Layout problem-solving approaches and structures by translating project scope, independently identifying required analysis and critical paths of work.
- Deliver high-quality outputs while balancing the delegation of duties versus "doing the work" under challenging engagement conditions.
- Connect findings to strategic and operational recommendations.
- Leverage your communication and presentation skills to communicate assignments and direction to internal project teams, project leadership, and clients.
- Provide formal coaching to junior staff.
- Structure and present analyses and deliverables with limited support from the engagement lead, and cover senior team roles/client interactions as needed.
- Manage small module teams, demonstrating the ability to identify time scales, understand priorities and resource requirements, and dynamically make decisions on delegation and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Play a role in the career development of junior staff through coaching and constructive feedback to set them up for success.
- Support Senior Managing Directors from a commercial standpoint by developing intellectual capital (e.g., white papers) and developing client pitches and proposals, while identifying areas of focus and leads from existing projects.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in a professional services firm.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or in a Telecom, Media & Technology company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Business Administration degree or equivalent.
